Highpoint Health - Sumner PGY1 Pharmacy Resident
The Highpoint Health-Sumner residency program builds on the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.  The residency training focuses on the development of skills necessary to provide optimal drug therapy to patients in a small/suburban community, function competently on inter-professional teams, and become leaders in the medication use process. The resident is exposed to quality assurance and medication use evaluation activities and participates in formulary management through the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
